Hormonal Balance: Understanding Hormones, Weight, and Your Metabolism
Published in Paperback by Bull Publishing (August, 2002)
Authors: Scott Isaacs, Todd Leopold, and Neil B. Shulman
Average review score:

A must-read !
This book is GREAT in the fact that it is very conversational. Dr. Scott Isaacs is a very intelligent and informative doctor with the special gift of explaining complicated diseases (or syndromes) in a very easy-to-read fashion. It is a must-read for everyone, even if you are not sick! He explains the medical aspects of the disease as well as gives suggestions as to foods you can eat (or stay away from) that specifically help (or aggrevate) the condition. He explains how your hormones have control of your entire body and with small changes in these levels, comes BIG problems. I was amazed to learn the connections between your everyday health, metabolism, and hormones. It was wonderfully enlightening!

A book to dog--ear
I would say this is a book that takes some chewing, some thorough digestion, even. When I first got this book, I didn't like it. I put it away with all my other books I don't like. When I got it out again I found it was a much better book than I had at first realized, maybe books, like dog bones, improve with age.

Human Target: Final Cut
Published in Hardcover by DC Comics (June, 2002)
Authors: Peter Milligan, Javier Pulido, Todd Klein, Dave Stewart, Len Wein, Carmine Infantino, and Vertigo

Fans Of Mission: Impossible Will Love Final Cut!
Since DC has become notorious for publishing Hardcover books that DO NOT deserve the Hardcover format (I, Paparazzi, Batman books The Chalice, Fortunate Son, Harvest Breed, Dark Knight Dynasty, Etc.), I was ready to be disappointed by Human Target: Final Cut. I enjoyed Milligan's previous Human Target story, however, so I thought I'd give it a try. Glad I did! After finishing it, I actually had to sit for a few minutes and try to digest what I'd just experienced. It was a truly staggering read!

Christopher Chance, the titular "Human Target", is just what his name implies: For the right price, Chance will assume the identity of people whose lives are endangered, using everything from fake mustaches and wigs, to Dermal Implants and Plastic Surgery. Here Chance assumes the identity of Dai Thomas, B-Movie actor, who is the third target of a homicidal Hollywood screenwriter trying to raise money for his movie project. After killing the stalker, Chance gets a bit of shocking news: The writer had kidnapped child-star Ronan White, and had hidden him away. With the kidnapper dead, Ronan will die of starvation, if he isn't dead already....and so Chance is forced to assume the identity of the killer/kidnapper, and descends into a maelstrom of drugs, murder, and nasty secrets.

The underlying theme of Chance being absorbed into the "Roles" he plays is dealt with by Writer Peter Milligan very convincingly, and the art by Javier Pulido is perfectly suited to the twisty story. Milligan manages to tie all of the loose ends up in an ending that is not only satisfying, but jaw-dropping. How often can you sat that a book left you speechless at the end? Simply an amazing effort all around. The book is divided into 4 comic-book sized chapters, which makes me think that this was originally intended as a mini-series, and someone at DC thought it was so good it merited the deluxe treatment. If that's the case, there may be hope for DC's hardcover line yet.... :)

The Indoor Outdoor Highest Quality Marijuana Grower's Guide

One of the Greatest books on the topic
Wow!This book Is possibly one of the best around on Marijuana cultivation!I found it wonderful in its use of detailed sections including everything a closet homegrower or garden grower would need: lighting, soil, seed strain, plant cycle etc... Although I read it for *informative* reasons only (he he) I definetly want to go out and start growing my own.Written with Ed's lyrical way, it provides an enjoyable read on its own or is perfect for first time growers or professionals. This book is Extremly desireable!

A truly excellent book-these exec's know what they are talking about. It is amazing the way deals are done in the Internet space-yet they are still based on all the same common principles as old world deals. This book highlights both and gives great insights into the ways these exec's handle their deals.

Integrating Spirituality into Multicultural Counseling
Published in Hardcover by Corwin Press (August, 1999)
Authors: Mary A. Fukuyama and Todd D. Sevig
Average review score:

A much need addition to the literature
The issue of spirituality has often been neglected in the multicultural counseling literature. Often spirituality is mentioned in an anthropological sense - a static fact you have to contend with. Fukuyama and Sevig have written this book to acknowledge the fact that spirituality is a living, dynamic factor that is essential to understanding people from diverse backgrounds. They point the reader towards ways to integrate spirituality into multicultural counseling by their use of case studies and self-reflective questions. The authors present the material in a flexible open-minded manner that allows for a variety of experiences. Rather than offering definitive answers Fukuyama and Sevig help the reader ask all the right questions. I highly recommend this book.

It's Easy to Play Tchaikovsky
Published in Paperback by Music Sales Corp (December, 1991)
Author: Barry Todd
Average review score:

It's Easy To Play Tchaikovsky with books like these.
This has 14 pieces of very easy to play Tchaikovsky. My favorite one is Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64 (Second Movement). All of the pieces are very interesting. The pages are white, making them easy to read. The book is not too big which makes opening the page you want and setting it up on the stand very easy.
Too bad I have not found enough Tchaikovsky easy plays like this one. It is difficult to proceed onto intermediate level books when you feel so comfortable with the easy plays.
